It was a week that kept us smiling from ear to ear!
We kicked off the week with a special visit from Mrs. Haun.
She brought a fun puppet and a great book to share called I Know an Old Lady Who Swallowed Some Leaves.
With each page she turned, the lady's belly got a little bigger...
until ACHOO!
All the leaves, straw, poles, pants, and shirt turned into a SCARECROW!
We loved having Mrs. Haun come to read.
Wednesday was a special day for us.
A bunch of fun moms joined us
for a little bit of breakfast
and a whole lot of smiles!
Our morning wasn't finished yet...
some moms were able to join us for chapel.
Mr. Marolf led our chapel.
It was a great reminder of how our moms will always love us and how great our Heavenly Father's love will always be for us.
It was one great morning!
More leaf adventures showed up this week.
We even went on a leaf hunt.
Each child found two special leaves.
Back in the classroom we examined our leaves
and did some investigating.
Thursday was a T-rrific day!
To get ready for our T-party we went on a t-shirt hunt.
We wrote down some words
that we found on the t-shirts.
We also read stories to some special friend that came for our T-party.
We took a break from our T-rrific day to check out the 3rd graders in the gym.
They were participating in World Sport Stacking Day.
The kindergartners can't wait to join in the fun next year!
Finally it was time
for our T-party to begin!
We enjoyed some toasted T's
as we teared the toast in the shape of the letter T.
Of course we had some "tea" in our "T" cup!
Complete with pinkies out! :)
Even some special friends like turtles
trains,
and turkeys also came to the party.
To finish off the day we tie-dyed some tiny t-shirts.
We can't wait to see how they turn out!
It was a T-riffic day!
We ended our week acting out the story of the Battle of Jericho.
We marched our way down to the city of Jericho.
We marched
and we marched.
We blew our trumpets... and the walls came tumbling down!
The kids were so surprised to find the 5th graders hiding in the walls!
We ended our week with another Fun Friday reader! She kept the kids on their toes with her tricky story (it kept them laughing too!).
We are excited to see what next week has in store!
We know we have a lot to be thankful for. :)
