What were we up to this week?
We had a lot of special projects to finish up!
And we might have been little wrapped up in Christmas fun but..
We were ready to celebrate Jesus' Birthday!
We headed over to church to celebrate with our special prayer pals.
We were very excited to see them!
They reminded us what Christmas was all about...
as we sang some special Christmas carols together.
What beautiful singers!
They even gave us some special gifts.
But the best gifts they gave us...
Were the warm smiles...
and gentle hugs.
What a very special group of people...
who pray for us...
and remind us of God's amazing love for us.
It was a wonderful way...
to begin our week
and celebrate
Jesus' Birthday!
Wednesday the fourth graders came and helped us with a very special project.
We dressed up in costumes...
some were shepherds
some were angels
and of course there were Mary and Joseph.
The children did a wonderful job of telling the true Christmas story (kindergarten style).
Pastor Schwab came to tell us his own special Christmas story about a Christmas tree.
It reminded us of the true meaning of Christmas.
We loved having Pastor Schwab come!
Something else came on Thursday... SNOW!
We had a great time trying to catch the snowflakes!
Thursday was also our Candy Cane day!
We had fun creating letters,
making words with the candy canes, and
reading words with candy canes.
Mr. Marolf came and also helped us balance candy canes.
The best part of candy canes...
is how they remind us of Jesus and His amazing love for us.
Look at the Candy Cane
What do you see?
Stripes that are red
Like the blood shed for me
White is for my Savior
Who’s sinless and pure!
“J” is for Jesus My Lord, that’s for sure!
Turn it around
And a staff you will see
Jesus my shepherd
Was born for Me!
What do you see?
Stripes that are red
Like the blood shed for me
White is for my Savior
Who’s sinless and pure!
“J” is for Jesus My Lord, that’s for sure!
Turn it around
And a staff you will see
Jesus my shepherd
Was born for Me!
Friday had arrived...
We topped the week off in style!
There was no covering up the excitement at this Christmas party!
We played fun games...
Made some sparkly Christmas tree frames, and
made our own ornaments.
The children had a great time...
wrapping each other up...
and decorating each other...
until they looked like a Christmas tree!
It was a TREE-mendous PARTY!
The best part of our whole week was a taking a quiet moment to worship baby Jesus just like the shepherds.
Oh come let us adore Him, Christ the Lord!
MERRY CHRISTMAS!
