X marks the spot of an eXcellent week!
Before we look too far ahead to the letter X...
The letter W blew in some wonderful adventures too!
We blew some windy words...

And made some wonderful words with wooden sticks!

WOW!
We also went on an Autumn Walk and wrote about the things we saw.
We went on another walk on Tuesday.

We were looking for clocks.

Some people had watches...

Some even had clocks on their phones.
We peeked in the kitchen and found they had a clock on the wall.
The nurses had one hidden in their office too!

Mr. Debrick carries a "clock" with him wherever he goes.

Mrs. Schmidt actually showed us 3 different clocks on her computer!

Mr. Marolf also had 3 different clocks in his office!  He must always be on time!  :)

We stopped to ask Mrs. Glover if she had the time.  Yep!  That put us up to 37 clocks!

We snuck in Mrs. Steinbacher's office and found an alarm clock.

We also found her in the gym.  She had a watch too! We ended our clock walk with a total of 40 clocks!

Next up was Muffins for Moms.

Look at all of the wonderful moms that stopped by!

It was so great to see so many smiles...

join us for a fun morning.

It was hard to tell our moms good-bye but we buddied up and practiced our Book Buddy skills.
Our x-ray vision glasses showed us the letter X is a lot of fun!

We even took x-rays of the "Little Old Lady" to see what word she swallowed!
After talking about how our parents voted, we decided to vote for our favorite letter.

The ballots are in and we have narrowed it down to A, B, E, M, and X.  The final campaign speeches and votes will take place next week!

We ended Thursday with quite the excitement!

We headed to the gym for a PEP ASSEMBLY!
We cheered on our volleyball team who were headed to state.  (I just found out they WON state!)
We ended the week with a MARVELOUS Friday as we praised God for all of His MARVELOUS blessings!

A MARVELOUS first grader came to read to us about a busy little squirrel.

The children were very impressed with his reading skills!
One boy even said, "Wow!  He did a great job!" Yes, indeed he did!
After reading, Nuts to You by Lois Ehlert, we examined a few nuts.

Some even had "hats" on them!

We ended the day with another fun Friday reader!

It truly was an eXcellent week!
