This Week was Quite a Hit!

We were back for more fun adventures!
We kicked off the week with APPLE ADVENTURE DAY!

First we compared our apples...

Describing what made them the same and what made them different.

Next we cored the apples.

We were also apple investigators.

Balancing the apples...

trying to get them to balance just right.

Examining the apples...
Checking for spots and bruises.

Oops!  We found some bad apples!
We even had some fun...
painting with apples!
However, I think the best part was taste testing!

"Yum, yum!  We sure do love apples!"
To end our apple adventures we turned our apples into applesauce!

Who knew apples could be so fun!

Tuesday was a very special day for us.
We met some WONDERFUL people from Zion.
The ACTS Bible study group agreed to be our Prayer Pals!
Each kindergartner received one...
or two special friends to be there Prayer Pals for the year.
They agreed to pray for us,
and we agreed to pray for them.

We also found out they are very good at reading stories...

They even knew the big words!
They helped us with our alphabet...

learn about apples
 and baseball too!
We also found out...

they are great listeners...
they are great huggers...
and they are really great at making us smile!

It was one special day!

It was hard to say good-bye, but we'll see them again soon!

Next up was Baseball Day!

We had a special visit from Brooklyn's dad!
Some 8th graders also joined us.

They helped us with our batting...
We were quite the sluggers!
H-o-m-e-r-u-n!
HOMERUN kindergarten!
We also got to do a little pitching of our own...

The 8th graders helped us practice our ground balls

and pop flys too!
Nothing got past us!

It was a fun-filled day...

Full of baseball...
smiles...

and new friends.

We were sorry to see them go.

Some us wouldn't even let them go!

A HUGE thank you to Brooklyn's dad.

It was a great day!
We wrapped up our week with Cardinal's Day!

Cardinal Nation has taken over our classroom!

Yep!  We served up one fantastic week!

Goooo Cardinals!
