Jumping for joy!

We jumped right into this week with the letter J!
We learned a lot about butterflies and painted a few of our own.
They are a sign of NEW LIFE...

and they also are symmetrical.
We then made some symmetrical designs of our own.
"Hands down" we had a great time with our special "teacher".
A fun 3rd grader named Miss Roos showed up for the day!
She helped out in gym class, showing us a few jumps...
We even got to use the parachute to tell the Easter story.

We ran to the tomb to see if Jesus was alive.

When we got there we saw the tomb.
We peeked inside of the empty tomb.

Next we pretended to be Peter and John as we raced inside of the tomb
just to make sure Jesus wasn't there.

He is risen indeed!  Alleluia!

We also found out Miss Roos is great at reading stories.

She even joined us for lunch.

For activity time, Miss Roos helped the kids make some jolly jellyfish.
We had a great day with Miss Roos!
The letter j also brought...
JELLY BEAN day!
We had a great time at the Jelly Belly factory.
We had to examine the jellybeans...
Looking for any "belly flops".
Some of them were good enough to eat!  :)
Next we had to sort the beans.
Of course we did a little taste testing too!

The kids really enjoyed painting with jellybeans!
Some of them had quite the jumping jellybean moves!
Another great week full of fun...

in the sun!
