Oh the weather outside...
is frightful!
But kindergarten is so delightful!
Since there's a lot we want to know...
Let it snow...
let snow...
let it SNOW!
We had a great week with the letter S!
As we learned about stars and Epiphany...
We decided to be Wise Men and Wise Women and go on our own little journey...
We followed the stars looking for our baby king. The first stop was the kitchen.
We found a great cook and some yummy cookies, but no baby.
The stars led us all over school...
Our next stop was the office. Mrs. Schmidt saw a lot people, but she didn't see our baby king.
Mr. Debrick is very wise so we thought for sure he could help us. He hadn't seen our king either.
Our long journey continued...
as we followed the stars outside.
Of course! Where else would Jesus be, but in a church!
We found number 9, but no baby king.
Number 10 led us to the church basement,
where we found our friend Jack.
We didn't find the king, but we found more stars.
We looked everywhere in the church.
We even made our way up to the balcony.
Where could this baby king possibly be?
When we found 13, we thought we were getting close.
But the stars led us to a "secret passage way".
Where we found a special door...
The door led us right to the church office!
Pastor Rouland was excited to see us, but he hadn't seen our king. Mrs. Bernhardt couldn't believe we were on such a long journey.
We decided it was time to take a little break and do some "investigating" outside.
We were so sad we couldn't find Him. I wanted to give up but...
The children kept searching!
The stars led us right back to where we started!
Where would the baby king be?
Right in our classroom???
We found a treasure box that reminded us that Jesus never leaves us. He is with us wherever we go!
Yes, it might have been a bit cold, snowy, and messy this week...
But it didn't stop us from having a wonderful week in kindergarten!
