An Apple a Day...

An apple a day...
left us all smiles this week!

We had a special visitor show up to inspect our patterns...

Roger the Robot also stayed to inspect our "rest time" too!

Fun with apples began with making our own applesauce!

While we waited for it to cook...

We compared our extra apples.

Some were a little odd looking.

Some had spots and stripes.

Finally it was time to taste the applesauce...

Good 'til the last bite!

Next it was time for Apple Adventure Day!

We did some apple investigating...

A few had bruises.
Others were very shiny.
It was quite the balancing act...
trying to find the perfect apple!

More apple adventures continued with...

APPLE PAINTING!

The day wouldn't have been complete without taste testing apples!
The votes came in...
Our favorite was Golden Delicious apples!

We had a TREEmendous Apple Adventure Day...

but our day would not have been complete without a very special guest!

Rev. Rouland came to read to help us celebrate the letter R.

To finish off our week of apple adventures...we made apple pie!
First we cored the apples.

Then we STTTRRETCHED the dough.

Next up was adding the apples.

Then we sprinkled on some cinnamon.

A little dab of butter completed the pie.

Finally we pinched it up tight!  "An apple pie taco!"

While we waited for the pies to cook, we headed outside to cheer for some special friends.

The junior high students were having a Walk-a-thon...

and cheering just wasn't  enough to get them going...
So we decided to join them!

It was a beautiful day...
for walking and making new friends.
We were worn out but filled with smiles!
We went back inside to enjoy our pies!
Another fun reader showed up to help us finish our fun Friday!
Mrs. H. left us with hugs and smiles!
