T-rrific week!!!

We had a terrific week learning about all the fun things that start with T!

We finished decorating our tree with our ornaments...

and designed a few trees of our own.

Pastor Schwab shared a very special book about Christmas trees...

and left with some new friends.  :)

We had some more fun visitors stop by... 

the first graders came and sang The 12 Days of Christmas!

We couldn't learn about T without having a T-party!

Ben showed us how to his special Cardinals towel works at the T-party...

that got the "crowd" going!

And two special turtles also showed up as guests!!!

The children went on a T-shirt hunt and found all kinds of fun words.

They also designed their own fun tie-dyed shirts...

Pretty fancy!

We concluded our T-party with some toasted T's!  Mmmm... Tasty!

The best part of the week was learning about the birth of Jesus and hearing them tell the story.

Here is a letter they wrote to the teachers at Zion...

Dear Teachers,

       We wish you a Merry Christmas!  It is Advent time.  Advent is a special time.  Do you know why we celebrate Christmas?  It’s Jesus Birthday.  Christmas is Jesus’ Birthday!  Jesus was born in a stable.  Christmas is the day that Jesus is born. We love Christmas.  Everybody in the whole wide world loves Christmas (except for ogres).   We decorate Christmas trees and then it points to God because we are praising Him.  God is love. You don’t like the presents.  You like God since He saved you. Jesus died on the cross for our sins.  Jesus loves us.  You should believe in Christmas spirit by helping people and sharing.  Have peace in the winter.  You need JOY!  Merry Christmas to all of you!
