We had a very interesting week the letter I!

We built igloos...



The children really enjoyed learning about different kinds of instruments as we talked about the 4 families of instruments.


They also enjoyed listening to Peter and the Wolf as they illustrated each scene from the story.


The children were then able to retell the story using the SMARTboard to create the music for each character. They are quite the story storytellers!!



As we discussed the story of the Good Samaritan, the topic of helping others came up. The children have been searching their houses and emptying their piggy banks for loose change!! This money will be given to the Weiders, our missionary family in Indonesia who are helping an orphanage by milk for the children. We also used the internet to write to the Weider family in Indonesia and told them some words of encouragement as well as asked them a few questions.

The giving didn't stop there!! We could barely carry all of the canned goods that were brought in for the food bank and the seminary families!! Thank you for ALL of your generosity!!
