We were all set...
for a BLIZZARD of activities!
But there was no snow in sight!
The kids definitely enjoyed the sunshine...
doing all kinds of crazy stunts
and races.
They even put on a play.
A few girls showed off their musical talents
for the whole class!!!
It got colder outside but still no snow!
SOOOO...
we decided to make some snowy fun inside.
We created our own silly snow creatures.
This was a snowy baker!
The kids also had fun creating their own snowflakes.
Throwing snowballs at letter
was also a fun game.
One teammate called out a sound
and the snowball thrower had to toss it to that letter.
We were also busy writing our letters in "snow".
Then the challenge began... change one letter
to make a new word.
We are becoming quite the spellers!
It was SNOW much fun!
Building a snow fort with our popcorn words was another fun challenge.
One team built a fort of words.
The other team had to create a fort that matched.
AND of course we had to have SNOWBALL FIGHT!
One team built a wall of popcorn words.
They made some pretty impressive walls!
The other team threw their snowballs at them.
They had to read the word on the snowball
...before they fired back!
YAY! The kids had SNOW much fun playing this game.
Be careful if you play this one at home. These kids don't hold back! :)
After reading Snowball Fight by Jimmy Fallon
We came up with our own snowball throwing inventions.
We made some more special snowmen too
.
.
After reading the book Snowballs by Lois Ehlert,
we used some "good stuff"
to create some snow creatures.
Just when we thought this would be the only "snow" we would get to see this week...
SNOW, real SNOW started falling on Friday!
Brrrr... were they cold!
But oh so YUMMY!
We added some sprinkles to give it a little color
and add some yumminess to it!
Who knew ice could taste so GREAT!
There is no business like SNOW business!
We are "aiming" for another great week!
