We had SNOW much fun this week
talking and learning about snow.
We kicked off the week designing snow contraptions.
The kids had a great time
designing sleds
and ski slopes
and other snow creations.
The kids also aimed to have fun with beginning sounds.
The kids had to toss a "snowball" to the letter
to the beginning sound in a word.
The team also had to write the letter they thought their teammate should toss to.
We were also busy balancing real snow with "snowballs"...
and "ice cubes".
Our week didn't stop there...
There was SNOW much more fun to be had!
Some preschoolers stopped by to SNEAK A PEEK into kindergarten.
They also helped us make a snowstorm of letters...
and sight word snow forts.
The kids even had fun designing some snowmen
and snowflakes too!
Wednesday lots of smiles should up!
Along with lots of great dads
and grand dads too!
Our morning wasn't over...
Some of our special visitors were also able to head over to chapel with us.
Mr. Marolf led our chapel.
He reminded us to "Be the example".
It was a great morning
filled with a lot of special people.
A blizzard of fun arrived in our classroom
as the kids had their own little snowball fight.
They threw words to their friends.
Their friends had to catch the words
and read the words.
They also read some other snowball words and built forts.
These snowball tossers
tried to knock down the sight word snow forts.
They LOVED this game!
We also did a snow experiment after reading the book the Snowy Day.
When we tried to save some snow in our classroom and some in the freezer...
Our snow in the classroom melted! We will have to see what happened to the snow in the freezer.
Mrs. Helmkamp also stopped by this week
and helped us with a new coding activity.
We will see if we have more snowy adventures next week...
Or if some SUNNY days are ahead! (Can you believe we took this picture on Wednesday! Gotta love winter in Missouri!)
