Shine Like Stars

We were searching for stars this week!

"Star search" was one fun game we played.

We learned about borders...

and created a star border for our wise men pictures.

Some star spellers showed up!

We even created our own constellations.

Thursday we ventured out into the cold, snowy day.

The kids enjoyed the falling snow!

They ran through the snow and caught snowflakes on their tongues.

They were amazed at the snowflakes they caught on their hands!

It was a fun, chilly adventure!
We ended the day with a special presentation from Mrs. Steinbacher.

She taught us about Jump Rope for Heart!

We are already to get started!

We ended our week being very WISE!

We headed out on an adventure looking for a baby King.

We followed lots of stars.

We even asked some special people along the way,

but they hadn't seen him either.

We thought maybe the nurse would have some records of him,
but she didn't have anything to help us.
So we continued following the stars.

The stars led us outside...
right to the church

where we found more stars.

We headed upstairs hoping to find our baby King.

Instead we found ...

two more stars!

The stars led us to a wise group of students...

 in the junior high building!

We looked high and low

but only found another star that led us back outside.

We were so sad...

and so confused!

But the kids refused to give up!
They found more stars...
leading us back to our classroom!

We found a special crown and treasure box in our room.
In the treasure box we found some stars.
The stars reminded us that Jesus is ALWAYS with us.

These wise children came to a SILLY store.

They turned out to be some SUPER SHOPPERS!

We ended our day making some messes!

AND some Starry Night masterpieces!

It was a super week...

Filled with some ALL-Star adventures!
