Seussational Week...

Ice and snow might have come our way,
but we didn't let that ruin our fun-filled Seusstastic DAY!

We built our own little Seuss houses.
We had some Seusstastical creations!
And some Seusstastical towns.
Complete with Seuss cars.
Even some Seuss villages.

We finished out our day by Reading Across America.
Some fun 7th graders came and joined us for the fun!
We read book...
after book...
Piece by piece...
state by state we made our way across America.
We were racing...
to get across America before 3:00.
But we didn't give up...
We kept focused on our goal.
We were getting close...
and getting a little tongue tied...
but we kept on smiling...
and we kept right on reading.
Finally the last book was read...
the last lap was run...
And the last piece was placed in our puzzle.
With the help of our wonderful friends we had read across America!
After racing across America, we slowed things down a bit.
Painting textured turtle shells...
and designing a few of our own...
brought smiles to our faces and some very creative turtles.
We finished our week with Hat Day!
Lots of fun hats appeared...
and lots of smiles too.
Cat in the Hat might not have showed up but another fun visitor came instead...
Mr. Debrick came to help us celebrate HAT DAY!
It was a great way to finish out our Seussational week!
I wonder what characters will appear next week!  :)
