Giving Thanks!

Even though it was a short week, we had a lot of fun giving thanks for ALL of the wonderful blessings God daily provides for us...

Before we had our feast, we had a few final preparations...

 We read I Know an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Pie, before creating a pie of our own!

Looks yummy!

We got dressed in our special "outfits" before heading to our feast!

                                       

                                     

We are thankful for SO many wonderful people at Zion...

Many of them were able to join us for this special day.

They took time out of their busy days to stop by for some good food!

Mr.  and Mrs. Thoelke took a quick break from music to feast with  us too!

  We are very thankful for our special friends!

It was a great day of feasting and friendship!

 After we feasted, we had to go on a "turkey hunt" complete with special turkey glasses!

We found quite a few turkeys!  :)

 

We finished off the week by going on a Thanksgiving Day parade with the instruments we made.

 The 7th graders showed up to cheer us on (and so did some of the parents)!

Yes, these children gave a whole new meaning to giving thanks this week.

Here is a special litany we wrote together.  Each child said something they were thankful for:

For brothers and sisters,

For houses,

For Miss Limback,

For tigers,

DEAR GOD, WE THANK AND PRAISE YOU

For Mrs. Clark and Miss Limback

For God,

Give thanks to the Lord for He is good.
